Goodbye 2023

it’s 10 pm, dec 29th 2023. there is an article on this blog which i just published on the topic of relationships. honestly, it’s no different from a 8th graders assessment. but listen, i’m no writer and don’t even plan to be one.

the only reason why i started this blog is to share stuff and am not even planning to market this in anyway. i won’t complain if someone reads it though.

whatever you are reading are my opinions and making it readable with catchy titles and proper grammar goes against the very essence of having a personal blog. if it is meant to be readable and informative then wouldn’t it be just another blog on the internet?

what makes this space, my own? isn’t it by keeping my words as they are?

this doesn’t mean that i don’t want to improve my written english, ofcourse i will try, for not to make people read but because i want to get better at writing.

words have power. mine, not so much.

2023

we always remember milestones. the year we were born, our graduation, the year when we lost our loved ones and so on.

for me 2023 is the year i entered the so called professional world. i hated college. always dreamed of getting out of it. exams suck. have always been eager to just get into a company and start doing the work i have always loved, coding. only to get dissapointed in the end.

see, before joining tcs, i interned at few startups as a flutter developer, creating apps, attending meets, solving problems, getting stuck and making friends. this is how i imagined my life to be like after college. unfortunately, it isn’t. things in mncs like tcs go a bit too slow. be it getting allocated to a project. even if you do, there’s no guarantee that you will get the role that you like/deserve. that’s understandable, considering the fact that, mncs manage a shit load of projects and another shit load of people. so, that’s ok.

this article is meant to be about what i learned and things i did in 2023. so let’s get to it.

work:

i joined tcs this year in the month of june. even though the situation is pretty tough out there due to recession, i’m glad that tcs was kind enough to hire new joiners. at first, my work location was assigned to ahmedabad, which is like 25 hours by train from the place where i live. so, it was so defeating on the morning when i received the joining letter. for the next 15 days from that point, i was occupied with collecting the necessary documents for my joining.

on my friends advice, i emailed the hr team if they can change my location, to my surprise they actually did. they changed it to bangalore. which is way better than ahmedabad.

that was it, from june it’s been 6 months, i’m working at tcs. first they trained us under java spring framework. and i continued learning it even after the training, cause i loved working with it. then got allocated to a project where, my coding skills are not much used, so i just kept learning things on my free time, which is pretty much all day. :p

but for the most part, i used 2023 for learning dsa which wasn’t that efficient. i could have done better.
